New Delhi: Delhi Police has informed Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) founder Abhijeet Dipke about the death of his grandmother while he remains detained amid a protest, according to police sources.
Sources said Dipke has been given the information about the family bereavement and can now decide whether to continue participating in the protest under detention or return home to attend his grandmother’s last rites.
His decision comes at a time when the protest and his detention have kept him away from his family. Police sources indicated that the choice of whether to remain at the protest or leave for the last rites rests with Dipke.
Further details regarding his decision and the circumstances surrounding his detention were not immediately available.
