Chandigarh: Haryana is making significant strides towards becoming one of India’s most business-friendly and investment-ready states by accelerating regulatory reforms, simplifying government procedures, and building a more transparent, efficient, and entrepreneur-friendly administrative framework.
The details were shared at a high-level review meeting on the implementation of Phase II of the Compliance Reduction and Deregulation Exercise, chaired by Special Secretary, Cabinet Secretariat, KK Pathak and Haryana’s Additional Chief Secretary, Home, Sudhir Rajpal.
During the meeting, KK Pathak appreciated the Haryana Government’s efforts to simplify building bylaws and streamline regulatory procedures. He acknowledged the state’s progress in making building regulations more practical, transparent, and business-friendly, noting the importance of such reforms in facilitating faster approvals and improving the ease of doing business.
Commissioner & Secretary, Industries & Commerce, Dr. Amit Kumar Agrawal informed that the Haryana Government is pursuing a comprehensive 28-point reform agenda aimed at eliminating unnecessary regulatory hurdles, improving the ease of doing business, promoting entrepreneurship, and creating new opportunities for industrial investment and employment. Substantial progress has been made across key sectors, including industrial development, land regulations, building approvals, labour reforms, electricity connections, environmental clearances, education, healthcare, and citizen-centric service delivery.
