Gunfire Erupts at Gurugram Real Estate Office, Police Suspect Gang Link

Gurugram: A late-night attack by unidentified masked assailants on a real estate firm in Gurugram’s Sector 45 sent shockwaves through the city, as multiple rounds of gunfire shattered the calm and raised fears of gang-linked violence.

The incident occurred on Thursday night, when armed men opened fire at the premises of MNR Buildmark, a real estate company operating in the area. According to police, 25 to 30 rounds were discharged during the assault, damaging property and leaving the office windows riddled with bullet holes.

Office Riddled with Bullets

The attack, which took place after working hours, left glass panels shattered and bullet casings strewn around the scene. Fortunately, no casualties have been reported so far, but the scale and style of the assault have alarmed both local businesses and law enforcement officials.

Residents and shopkeepers nearby reported hearing a rapid burst of gunfire, followed by the sound of vehicles speeding away. Panic spread quickly through the neighborhood, prompting several emergency calls to the police control room.

Gang Involvement Suspected

Preliminary investigation points to the possible involvement of international crime syndicates, with police sources suggesting the attack may have been ordered by gangsters based abroad. Authorities are now reviewing CCTV footage and collecting forensic evidence to identify the shooters and determine the motive behind the targeted attack.

“We are looking into all angles, including extortion threats and rivalries linked to criminal groups operating outside India,” said a senior police official familiar with the case. The officer confirmed that multiple teams have been formed to trace the suspects and examine any prior threats made to the company.

Security Tightened in the Area

In the aftermath of the attack, security has been stepped up around Sector 45 and nearby commercial zones. Police have also reached out to other businesses in the area to check for any similar threats or extortion demands.

Meanwhile, the owners of MNR Buildmark are said to be cooperating with authorities, though they have not issued a public statement as of Friday morning.

Rising Threats to Businesses

The attack has highlighted growing concerns about organized crime targeting real estate and other high-value sectors in and around Gurugram. In recent months, several business owners across NCR have reported receiving threatening calls demanding money, often traced to numbers originating from overseas.

As the investigation progresses, officials say they are not ruling out the possibility that the attack was meant as an intimidation tactic rather than an attempt to harm individuals physically.

The case is currently being handled by the city’s special crime unit, and further updates are expected as more evidence is gathered.
