Chandigarh: Haryana Cooperation, Prisons, Tourism, Heritage and Elections Minister Dr. Arvind Sharma congratulated the players from Haryana who brought glory to the nation with their outstanding performances at the Asian Games-2026, saying that the players from the soil of Haryana have once again proved that the state is a sporting powerhouse of the country. He said that the achievements of the players who have taken the Tricolour to the top on the international stage are a matter of pride for the entire state.
He said that Haryana’s players have also brought laurels to the country in shooting. Rewari’s Kamaljeet and Jhajjar’s Suruchi won the gold medal in the 10-metre air pistol mixed team event. Similarly, the participation of eight players from Haryana in the Indian men’s kabaddi team that won the gold medal is, in itself, a testament to the state’s strong sporting culture.
Dr. Arvind Sharma congratulated all the medal-winning players, their coaches and family members and expressed confidence that Haryana’s players will continue to add more medals to the country’s tally in the upcoming events and bring further glory to the state.
