Chandigarh: The Punjab Government, led by Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, is continuously working for the welfare of ex-servicemen and their families. In this direction, Defence Services Welfare Minister Mohinder Bhagat today held a review meeting with the officers of the department in Chandigarh to assess the progress of matters related to ex-servicemen.
Reviewing the initiatives being undertaken by the Punjab Government for the welfare of ex-servicemen, Cabinet Minister Mohinder Bhagat directed the officers to ensure the timely disposal of all matters related to ex-servicemen. He also reviewed the progress of various welfare schemes and facilities being provided to ex-servicemen and their families.
The Cabinet Minister said that ex-servicemen have dedicated their lives to safeguarding the country and resolving their problems is a priority of the government. He directed the officers to ensure that the benefits of welfare schemes meant for ex-servicemen reach every eligible beneficiary.
