Chandigarh: The National Health Mission (NHM), Haryana, has released its first Quarterly Performance Review (QPR) booklet, titled Pratham Traimasik Samiksha – 2026-27. The QPR is envisioned as a comprehensive, indicator-based mechanism for assessing NHM programme performance at the district level. It aims to give an in-depth understanding of district-wise performance by identifying high- and low-performing districts, highlighting areas of concern, and enabling districts to address the key challenges affecting service delivery.
The booklet has been compiled as a comprehensive and practical guide for Programme Managers, Medical Officers, district- and block-level officials, and all other stakeholders involved in NHM implementation. Baseline data was captured using scientific research methodologies.
Dr. Dhillon said, “Earlier, the program divisions were monitoring their respective programs. As a result, key health indicators did not improve optimally, since gaps that could have been plugged through programme integration remained unaddressed. The planning division, which had primary role of budgeting under NHM and formed the Monitoring, Coordination and Planning (MCP) Division. The programme wise evaluation is more structured, collaborative and target oriented.
