Seven of a Family Killed as Truck Rams Car in Andhra Pradesh’s Nellore

Nellore — Tragedy struck Andhra Pradesh’s Nellore district on Wednesday when seven members of a family, including a 15-year-old girl, were killed after a sand-laden truck rammed into their car near Sangam mandal. Police said the victims died on the spot after the vehicle, coming from the opposite direction, crashed head-on into the four-wheeler.

Following the collision, the truck driver fled the scene, and efforts are underway to trace him. A case has been registered, police confirmed.

Expressing grief over the incident, YSRCP chief Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy said he was “deeply disturbed” by the loss of lives. He extended condolences to the bereaved families and urged authorities to adopt stricter measures to prevent such fatal accidents in the future.
