Chandigarh: Haryana Cabinet Minister Ranbir Gangwa on Thursday conducted a surprise inspection of the Civil Hospital, Barwala, in Hisar district and reviewed the healthcare services, facilities and arrangements for patients. He interacted with the hospital administration and concerned officials to take stock of the services being provided and issued necessary directions.
The Cabinet Minister said any negligence or lapse in the treatment of patients would not be tolerated. He directed that the hospital should not merely function as a referral centre and that patients should receive all possible healthcare services locally. Specialist doctors should be available round the clock, he said, adding that patient care should not be left solely to paramedical staff.
During the inspection, the Minister also reviewed cleanliness, patient facilities and other key aspects related to healthcare services. He stressed that every patient visiting a government health institution should receive quality treatment along with courteous and dignified care.
