CHANDIGARH: In a major relief to the common man, Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann on Wednesday directed officers to initiate the process for recruiting more than 1,000 Revenue Patwaris in the larger public interest. The decision was taken during a meeting with a delegation of the Revenue Patwar Union.
A decision to this effect was taken by the Chief Minister during a meeting with a delegation of Revenue Patwar Union here today. On this, CM Bhagwant Singh Mann stated, “Recruitment of more than 1,000 Revenue Patwaris will provide relief to the people and ensure that their routine administrative work does not suffer. The recruitment process will be completed in a transparent manner in the coming days.”
He said, “This decision will streamline the recruitment process and remove the administrative hurdles being faced across the state regarding seniority and promotions. The decision has been taken keeping in view the need for administrative reforms and improvement in the functioning of the department.”
