Amritsar: The Pakistan Sikh Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee will organise a Nagar Kirtan from Gurdwara Sri Darbar Sahib, Kartarpur Sahib, to the Zero Line on September 21, with Sikh devotees from Pakistan participating in the religious programme with devotion and reverence.
The Nagar Kirtan is scheduled to reach the Zero Line on the Pakistan side at around 5:30 pm Indian time. Following its arrival, the Sikh Sangat will perform Rehras Sahib, Gurbani Kirtan and Aarti, followed by Ardas before Guru Sahib. The prayers will seek the early reopening of the Kartarpur Sahib Corridor, in accordance with the sentiments of Sikh devotees on both sides of the India-Pakistan border.
On the Indian side, Akal Takht Sahib Jathedar Giani Kuldeep Singh Gargajj will reach the Zero Line at Dera Baba Nanak. Sikh devotees from both India and Pakistan will participate in religious observances on their respective sides, including Rehras Sahib, Aarti and Shabad Kirtan. An Ardas will subsequently be offered for the early reopening of the Kartarpur Sahib Corridor, allowing devotees to once again visit and pay obeisance at Gurdwara Sri Darbar Sahib, Kartarpur Sahib, the sacred place associated with Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji.
Giani Kuldeep Singh Gargajj has appealed to the Sikh Sangat in Dera Baba Nanak and adjoining border areas to reach the Zero Line near the Kartarpur Sahib Corridor at 5:30 pm today and participate in the religious programme and Ardas in large numbers. The Jathedar said the Sangat would collectively pray before Guru Sahib for the early reopening of the corridor so that devotees can resume their visits to the sacred shrine of Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji at Kartarpur Sahib.
