Chandigarh: Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini said that strict action will be taken if any negligence is found during the procurement of paddy. He said that all necessary arrangements should be made to ensure that farmers do not face any difficulty or inconvenience during the procurement season. The Meri Fasal Mera Byora portal is being reopened for farmers from September 21 to 27 to submit their applications. Farmers whose verification is pending have been advised to submit their applications to the concerned Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM).
The Chief Minister was addressing a meeting held at the Babain Market Committee office on Sunday. Farmers, arhtiyas, traders, rice millers and administrative officials attended the meeting. The Chief Minister discussed paddy procurement arrangements with the officials and issued necessary directions to the Food and Supplies Department and the Mandi administration.
He said that the government has been implementing policies and schemes for farmers since the very beginning. All 24 crops of farmers in the state are being procured at Minimum Support Price (MSP), while farmers growing vegetable crops are being provided the benefit of the Bhavantar Bharpai Yojana.
