Timely Payment to Sugarcane Farmers and Smooth Operation of Sugar Mills Government’s Priority

Chandigarh: A meeting was held under the chairmanship of Chairman, Haryana Bureau of Public Enterprises, Mohan Lal Kaushik, at the NIC Conference Hall, Haryana Civil Secretariat, Chandigarh, to review the development works, activities and upcoming plans of various institutions.

Detailed discussions were held regarding preparations for the upcoming sugarcane crushing season. He directed the officers to accord the highest priority to the interests of sugarcane farmers so that they do not face any kind of inconvenience during the crushing season.

Kaushik said that farmers and the agriculture sector play an important role in Haryana’s economy and rural system. Therefore, every issue concerning sugarcane farmers needs to be addressed with sensitivity and priority. He directed the officers to complete all necessary preparations before the upcoming crushing season so that farmers do not face any difficulty, from transporting sugarcane to the mills to receiving payment.
