CM Saini Haryana signs MoU with IIT Ropar to strengthen industry-oriented Technical Education

Chandigarh: In the presence of Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini, the Haryana Technical Education Department today signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Ropar to strengthen the quality of technical education and enhance the employability of students in the State.

The initiative marks an important step towards building a future-ready, innovation-driven and industry-responsive technical education ecosystem in Haryana, providing enhanced opportunities for employment, entrepreneurship and skill development for the State’s youth.

Haryana Education Minister Mahipal Dhanda, Additional Chief Secretary Higher Education Department A.K. Singh, Director General, Technical Education S. Narayanan, OSD to Chief Minister Dr. Raj Nehru, Director, Technical Education Dr. Y.P.S. Berwal, Director, IIT Ropar Prof. Rajeev Ahuja along with senior officers and representatives of both institutions were present during the MoU signing Ceremony.

The MoU will remain valid initially for five years and may be extended further. It will be implemented through designated nodal officers and a Joint Coordination Committee. The collaboration will not entail any financial liability on either party.
