Chandigarh: Punjab Vidhan Sabha Speaker Sardar Kultar Singh Sandhwan has expressed deep grief over the sad demise of veteran politician and former Punjab Minister Chuni Lal Bhagat, he is a father of Punjab Cabinet Minister Mohinder Bhagat.
In his condolence message issued here today, the Speaker said that the demise of Chuni Lal Bhagat has left a huge, irreparable gap in the field of politics. Terming him a highly talented, dedicated, gentle, decent and capable politician. He said that he was a leader from whom many got to learn a lot, and his lifelong work will continue to inspire us.
The Speaker highly lauded his contributions to the state, stating that the extensive development work executed by Chuni Lal Bhagat in the Jalandhar region will always be remembered by the public. He added that the coming generations will learn valuable lessons from his public work and clean politics.
Sharing his heartfelt sympathies with the bereaved family, Sardar Sandhwan prayed to the Almighty to grant eternal peace to the departed soul and give strength to the family members to bear this irreparable loss.
