Police Arrest Two Members of Arms Smuggling Gang in Fazilka

Fazilka: In a major breakthrough against organized crime, Fazilka police arrested two members of an arms smuggling gang during a routine patrol near Rana Mandi Laduka.

According to officials, the CIA Staff-2 police team was checking suspicious individuals when they stopped two youths riding a Splendor Plus motorcycle. On searching them, the police recovered five .30 bore pistols and nine magazines.

The accused were identified as Gurpreet Singh alias Gori, son of Surjit Singh from Tahliwala Bodla village, and Surinder Singh, son of Chara Singh from Dhani Kehna Ram. Both were immediately taken into custody, and a case has been registered.

Police also seized the motorcycle used by the suspects. Officials stated that their interrogation may reveal further details about the arms smuggling network. The duo will be presented in court, where police will seek remand for further questioning.
