SHIMLA: Over 5.44 lakh mutation cases, 47,333 partition cases and 63,000 demarcation cases have been disposed of through Revenue Lok Adalats and Special Revenue Lok Adalats across Himachal Pradesh. Besides, 26,288 corrections have also been made in revenue records, helping reduce the pendency of land-related cases.

Since October 2023, Revenue Lok Adalats have been held at Tehsil and Sub-Tehsil headquarters on the last two days of every month. Special Revenue Lok Adalats have also been organized three days a week—Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday—from January 2026 to resolve partition and revenue correction cases. The initiative has provided people, especially those in rural and remote areas, with a faster and more convenient way to settle their revenue matters without repeated visits to government offices.

Chief Minister Thakur Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu said the state government is committed to transparent, responsive and hassle-free governance. He said the large number of cases resolved through these Lok Adalats reflects the government’s efforts to reduce pendency, improve revenue records and provide timely relief to landowners. The government will continue introducing reforms to make public services faster, simpler and more accessible.
