Chandigarh: Haryana Education Minister Mahipal Dhanda said teachers carry the profound responsibility of shaping not only the academic future of students, but also their character, values and sense of social responsibility. As architects of the nation’s future, teachers have a pivotal role in preparing responsible citizens and nurturing a value-based generation capable of taking India towards the goal of Viksit Bharat.
The Education Minister said India is rapidly emerging among the world’s leading nations and every citizen must resolve to contribute towards making India a developed nation in the years ahead. Teachers have the most significant role in translating this resolve into reality as they are shaping the generations of tomorrow.
He said India has not merely presented to the world a vision of economic progress, but has also given the message of global welfare, humanity, values and an ideal way of life. Teachers should inculcate these ideals and values among students from an early age.
Calling upon teachers to play a larger role in shaping society, the Education Minister said there is a need to instil sensitivity towards nature, strong values, morality and a sense of social responsibility among students.
