Shamli: The wife of Haryanvi singer Ankit Balyan has reacted to the encounter of two accused allegedly linked to his killing, saying that the action is welcome but the remaining suspects who are still on the run must also be arrested.
Speaking after learning about the encounter, Seema, wife of the late singer, said she had only recently received information about the development. She acknowledged that the elimination of two accused was a significant step, but stressed that it would not bring complete relief as several other suspects remain absconding.
According to Seema, the investigation should continue until all those allegedly involved in the killing are traced and taken into custody.
She said that while the development could not erase the family’s loss or provide complete satisfaction, bringing all the accused to justice would at least ensure that the legal process moves forward.
The encounter took place in Shamli, where police targeted two accused allegedly connected with the murder of Ankit Balyan. The development has come as investigators continue their efforts to identify and apprehend others suspected of involvement in the case.
Seema’s reaction has also underlined the family’s demand for action against every person allegedly connected with the singer’s killing.
For the family, the immediate priority now remains the arrest of the accused who are still at large. She said that only after all the suspects are brought before the law can the family feel that justice has been served.
The case has drawn attention in Haryana and neighbouring Uttar Pradesh following the killing of the Haryanvi singer. Police are continuing efforts to trace the remaining accused and establish the full sequence of events surrounding the murder.
