Chandigarh: Haryana Tourism Minister Dr. Arvind Sharma today distributed appointment letters to newly selected candidates appointed to 380 D-Group posts in the Tourism Department in Chandigarh. Extending his best wishes to the newly appointed employees, he wished them a successful and bright future.
The Tourism Minister informed that recruitment had been conducted for a total of 397 D-Group posts in the Tourism Department, and appointment letters are being handed over to around 380 candidates. These posts include those of attendants, kitchen helpers and gardeners. Keeping the convenience of women employees in mind, efforts have been made to post them near their homes. Similarly, other newly appointed employees have also been allotted stations as close to their homes as possible.
Dr. Arvind Sharma said that under the leadership of Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini, the Haryana Government is providing employment opportunities to the youth through a transparent and merit-based recruitment policy. Under the government’s policy of no “kharchi-parchi” and through a transparent process, eligible youth are being appointed to government services. He said the government’s objective is not only to provide employment opportunities to the youth but also to ensure the availability of adequate human resources in government departments.
Director, Haryana Tourism Department, Parth Gupta; General Manager, Haryana Tourism Development Corporation, Rajiv Prasad; and other senior officers were also present on the occasion.
