New Delhi: India has stepped up its humanitarian assistance to Nepal, with a second relief flight carrying 37.5 tonnes of Humanitarian Assistance and Disaster Relief (HADR) supplies taking off for the neighbouring country.
The consignment includes essential medicines, food packets and other relief material intended to support people affected by the ongoing situation in Nepal. The latest shipment comes as India continues to coordinate closely with Nepalese authorities over relief and response efforts.
Officials said India remains in regular contact with the Nepalese authorities to assess requirements on the ground and extend assistance where it is most needed.
The dispatch of the second consignment underlines New Delhi’s continued focus on providing timely humanitarian support to Nepal. The assistance is aimed at strengthening ongoing relief operations and helping authorities meet the immediate needs of affected communities.
India has also reiterated its commitment to supporting Nepal during the ongoing relief efforts. The close coordination between the two countries is expected to continue as the situation develops and additional requirements are assessed.
