Chandigarh: Haryana Cooperation and Jails Minister Dr Arvind Sharma said the teachings of Sant Shiromani Guru Ravidas Ji inspire society to strengthen the values of equality, brotherhood and humanity. As part of this spirit, a grand sacred Kalash Yatra was taken out in Charkhi Dadri on Wednesday under the leadership of Cooperation Minister Dr Arvind Sharma and MLA Sunil Satpal Sangwan. The Yatra commenced from Heera Chowk and culminated at the Sant Ravidas Temple.
On the occasion, Dr Arvind Sharma, at the MLA’s request, also announced Rs. 5 lakh for the construction of the Sant Ravidas Temple building.
Addressing the gathering, Dr Arvind Sharma said the teachings of Sant Shiromani Guru Ravidas Ji have been guiding humanity in the right direction for centuries. Guru Ravidas Ji envisioned a society with no place for sorrow, injustice or discrimination. He said the government, under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini, is working with the same spirit of social harmony and ‘Antyodaya’.
Dr Arvind Sharma further said that under the guidance of Prime Minister Sh. Narendra Modi, the Kalash Yatra is being taken out across the country under the ‘Samrasta Sankalp Abhiyan’ to commemorate the 650th birth anniversary of Guru Ravidas Ji. The Yatra is carrying the message of social harmony and national unity to villages and households across the country.
