New Delhi: A high-level delegation from the Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC) visited the Pakistan High Commission on Tuesday to raise and discuss key matters affecting the Sikh community and its religious institutions in Pakistan.
The delegation was led by SGPC President Harjinder Singh Dhami, accompanied by Delhi Shiromani Akali Dal President Paramjit Singh Sarna and former Delhi Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee President Manjit Singh GK. During the bilateral dialogue, the representatives emphasized the importance of safeguarding community interests and maintaining the historical gurdwaras across the border.
The discussions focused on the welfare, religious rights, and day-to-day challenges faced by Sikhs residing in Pakistan, alongside the administrative management of heritage shrines. The leaders underscored the need for constructive engagement and the resolution of long-standing community concerns through established diplomatic and institutional channels.
