Chandigarh: Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini unfurled the National Flag at Hansi on the occasion of the 80th Independence Day and extended his warm greetings and best wishes to the people of the State on Independence Day and the festival of Teej.
Paying homage to the known and unknown martyrs who made the supreme sacrifice for the country’s freedom and later laid down their lives in defending the nation, the Chief Minister said that Haryana has always played a leading role, from the freedom struggle to safeguarding the country’s borders. He said the State is moving ahead at a rapid pace with the resolution of ‘Viksit Bharat-Viksit Haryana’.
The Chief Minister honoured Hansi boxer Narender Berwal, a silver medallist at the Commonwealth Games, and handed over employment guarantee certificates to nine local youth under the Haryana Contractual Employees (Security of Service) Act, 2024. Schoolchildren presented colourful cultural programmes, while police personnel from HPA, Madhuban, also presented an impressive show.
The Chief Minister took the salute of the parade and highlighted Haryana’s development journey and the achievements of the present State Government.
