New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday shared his sixth Instagram reel, calling on citizens to celebrate the upcoming Independence Day with enthusiasm and patriotic spirit.
In the reel, Modi was seen chanting “Vande Mataram” and urging people across the country to sing the National Song and reaffirm their commitment to building a developed India.
The video also featured moments from a morning meeting with NDA MPs, where Modi led lawmakers in marking the National Song. The meeting, held as part of the NDA’s customary Tuesday gathering, saw MPs waving the Tricolour and raising slogans of “Vande Mataram” and “Bharat Mata Ki Jai”.
The Prime Minister’s social media appeal comes ahead of the Independence Day celebrations at the Red Fort, where the full version of “Vande Mataram”, comprising all its stanzas, is set to be played for the first time during the official celebrations.
The National Song has also gained renewed prominence following the government’s recent amendment to existing laws, according it a status equal to that of the National Anthem.
Through the Instagram reel, Modi encouraged citizens to make the Independence Day celebrations a collective expression of national pride while contributing to the broader vision of a Viksit Bharat.
