New Delhi: Environmentalist and education reformer Sonam Wangchuk has appealed to supporters to participate in a peaceful march to Parliament on July 20, even as he continues his indefinite hunger strike demanding the resignation of Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan.

In a message shared on social media platform X, Wangchuk acknowledged concerns over his health but said he remained determined to continue his protest. “I’m not in good shape but not so bad either,” he wrote, urging people not to focus on ending his fast but instead to strengthen the movement by joining the upcoming march.

The activist called on citizens from across the country to assemble for what he described as a peaceful demonstration in New Delhi, emphasising that the protest would remain non-violent and democratic.

Wangchuk has been observing the hunger strike to press for constitutional safeguards and the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan. This time, he has joined the Cockroach Janata Party, which started a “revolution” against the NEET paper leak and demanded the resignation of Dharmendra Pradhan.

As preparations for the July 20 march gather pace, all eyes remain on both the government’s response and Wangchuk’s health, which continues to be closely monitored as his hunger strike enters another phase.
