Chandigarh: In a significant breakthrough against organized crime, Punjab’s Anti-Gangster Task Force (AGTF) has arrested Baljinder Singh alias Rainch, a close aide of foreign-based gangster Goldy Brar.

During the operation, police recovered five pistols (.32 bore) and 10 live cartridges that were allegedly being arranged for supply to the Goldy Brar gang to disturb peace and security in Punjab.

Preliminary investigations revealed that the weapons were procured on the directions of Goldy Brar through his key associate Malkit Singh alias Kitta Bhani. Police further disclosed that Rainch has a past criminal record, including cases under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act.

Officials said further investigation is underway to expose the entire network and connections of the accused. Punjab Police reiterated its commitment to dismantling gangster groups and safeguarding peace across the state.
