SHIMLA : As per the directions of the Union Ministry of Rural Development, the Directorate of Rural Development, Himachal Pradesh has initiated the post-deletion module in the Awaas+ system for transparent and systematic finalization of the Permanent Wait List (PWL) under Pradhan Mantri Awaas Yojana–Gramin (PMAY-G).

A Spokesperson of the department informed here today that following completion of the deletion process, the module enables Gram Sabhas to review the system-generated priority list, verify beneficiary details and recommend necessary corrections based on the prescribed eligibility and prioritization criteria. All modifications are recorded in the system with mandatory reasons to ensure transparency and accountability.

The module also provides for geo-tagged photographs of Gram Sabha meetings, auto-generated proceedings, authentication through PRI signatures and stamps and AI-based validation of uploaded documents.

He said the eligible households not included in the Gram Sabha approved list may file an appeal before the District Appellate Committee as per the provisions of the scheme. After disposal of appeals, the finalized Permanent Wait List will be used for sanctioning houses under PMAY-G.

The Directorate has requested all Deputy Commissioners, District Development Officer, Block Development Officers and Panchayati Raj Institutions to complete the process by 10 July, 2026 in accordance with the prescribed Standard Operating Procedure (SOP).
