Chandigarh- The Haryana State Co-operative Apex Bank Limited (HARCO Bank) in association with SHRIRAM Life Insurance organised a cleanliness drive on the occasion of Co-operative Week. The drive was led by Dr Prafulla Ranjan, along with senior bank officers
Dr. Prafulla Ranjan, said that the cooperative movement is not merely a financial institution-based system but a people-centric movement committed to inclusive development, environmental sustainability, and nation-building.
The cleanliness drive was a part of the ongoing ‘Sahkar Se Samriddhi-Cooperative Week 2026’ being celebrated from June 29 – July 6,2026 , reaffirming the bank’ s commitment to civic responsibility and community engagement alongside its core cooperative banking mandate.
The drive was conducted at the bank square, Sector 17 B , Chandigarh where bank officers and staff members enthusiastically participated, cleaning both the front and back sides of the bank square . The initiative saw active participation from senior officers including Mr Ashok Verma, General Manager, Mrs Urvashi Gupta, General Manager, Mrs Sudha Sharma Deputy General Manager, Mr Jaipal Singh Manager, Mr Mahender Jangra Manager, Mr Umesh Kumar Manager, and Mr Vijay Kumar Assistant Manager, along with other bank officials .
Through such initiatives, HARCO Bank continues to live up to the core values of the cooperative movement by actively engaging with and giving back to the community, playing its part in building a cleaner India.
