Hyderabad: A twenty-six-year-old woman was discovered dead inside a hotel room in the Langar Houz area of Hyderabad during the early hours of Friday, prompting a comprehensive police investigation. The deceased has been identified as Renuka, a resident of the Alwal locality, who was married with a child and employed at a local restaurant and pub within the city. According to law enforcement officials, the preliminary timeline indicates that Renuka had checked into the hotel accompanied by an unidentified man at approximately three in the morning on Wednesday. The male companion subsequently left the premises at around ten-thirty on Thursday night, while Renuka remained alone inside the room.
Hotel records and digital footprints recovered by investigators reveal that Renuka ordered dinner from the hotel kitchen at nearly midnight on Thursday. Shortly thereafter, she placed a video call to a personal friend, which represents her last known interaction before her body was discovered. The hotel staff grew suspicious later in the night and subsequently alerted local authorities upon finding her unresponsive in the room. A specialized police team quickly arrived at the scene to conduct a preliminary forensic inspection of the room before shifting the body to a state mortuary for a formal post-mortem examination.
The Langar Houz police have officially registered a case and are thoroughly examining the hotel registry, available closed-circuit television footage from the corridors, and the mobile phone records of the deceased. The man who originally accompanied Renuka to the hotel has been tracked down by authorities and is currently undergoing intense questioning to determine his involvement and clarify the timeline of events. Langar Houz Sub-Inspector Syed Munwar Ali stated that investigators are exploring all potential angles, adding that the exact circumstances leading to the tragic death will become clear only after the receipt of the final post-mortem report and the conclusion of the ongoing inquiry.
