Gold, Silver Prices Retreat After Touching Record Highs

New Delhi – Gold and silver prices eased on Thursday after soaring to record highs a day earlier, according to the All India Sarafa Association.

Gold of 99.9% purity slipped ₹1,000 to ₹1,06,070 per 10 grams in the national capital, compared to its all-time high of ₹1,07,070 on Wednesday. Silver also declined, falling ₹500 to ₹1,25,600 per kg.

The dip comes after both precious metals touched unprecedented levels earlier this week, fueled by global economic uncertainties and heightened investor demand. Traders said profit booking by investors after the sharp rally led to Thursday’s correction.

Despite the fall, bullion dealers noted that gold and silver remain near historic highs, and further fluctuations are expected in the coming days depending on international market trends and domestic demand.
