Chandigarh — Singer-actor Diljit Dosanjh has pledged to stand by Punjab’s flood-affected families until they fully recover, saying his mission goes beyond providing immediate relief.

In a moving Facebook video, delivered in Hindi to ensure wider understanding, Dosanjh described the devastation across the state. “Crops have been destroyed, cattle lost, homes damaged, families displaced, and lives shattered,” he said. “Punjab is injured, but not defeated.”

He stressed that his efforts were not limited to distributing rations. “Even after the waters recede, I will continue to help people rebuild their lives,” he promised.

Dosanjh expressed gratitude to local NGOs, young volunteers, and the media for rallying around those in need. He also revealed that his team had engaged with several corporate houses, many of which have committed support for long-term rehabilitation.

Concluding on a hopeful note, the artist reassured people that the crisis would pass. “Good days will return to Punjab,” he said.
