New Delhi: The National Testing Agency (NTA) has completed all arrangements for the NEET UG 2026 re-examination, which takes place today, June 21, across India and at various international locations. To guarantee a fair and completely transparent testing environment, the highly anticipated medical entrance exam is scheduled from 2:00 PM to 5:15 PM, with an extra 15 minutes allocated beforehand to guide candidates through necessary administrative instructions. Strict multi-layered pre-screening protocols and sophisticated surveillance networks have been established at all venues to eliminate past irregularities and restore complete integrity to the evaluation process.
In an unprecedented move to ensure absolute confidentiality, the union government has suspended the operations of the Telegram application nationwide until the examination concludes, acting on security assessments that the platform had previously been misused to leak sensitive exam material. The logistics chain received a major security upgrade as the Indian Air Force (IAF) was brought in to oversee transport, deploying strategic transport aircraft and Mi-17 helicopters since June 13 to securely ferry sealed question papers to 18 major distribution points before their final armed escort to the testing centres.
Technological vigilance inside the examination centres has reached record levels, featuring 13,560 CCTV cameras actively monitored by centralized oversight teams at the state, national, and ministerial levels. Furthermore, a massive network of 51,311 signal jammers has been activated to completely block any electronic data transmission or digital communication within the halls. This technical counter-measure was made possible through a collaboration with top defence public sector undertakings, with ECIL supplying 17,054 jamming devices and BEL delivering 34,257 units to safeguard the nationwide testing parameter.
