Paris: Although India is not among the seven permanent members of the Group of Seven (G7), it has become a regular participant at the summit’s outreach sessions, reflecting its growing influence in global politics, economics and international policymaking.
The G7, comprising the United States, the United Kingdom, Canada, France, Germany, Italy and Japan, often invites strategically important nations to join discussions on pressing global issues. In recent years, India has consistently featured among these invitees, underlining its expanding role on the world stage.
