Washington: US President Donald Trump has indicated that the proposed understanding between Washington and Tehran is not yet a binding agreement, warning that the United States could resume military operations against Iran if the final terms fail to meet his expectations.
Speaking to reporters during the G7 Summit in France alongside Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi, Trump described the current arrangement as a memorandum of understanding rather than a completed peace deal, stressing that its future depends on Iran’s conduct and the contents of the final document.
The President said the framework remains subject to his approval and made it clear that the United States would not hesitate to restore military pressure if the agreement proves unsatisfactory.
