Chandigarh : The Punjab Vidhan Sabha Speaker, S. Kultar Singh Sandhwan, today highlighted that the Puniab government has already launched the historic ‘Easy Registry’ and ‘Easy Jamabandi Portal’ to bring seamless public delivery systems directly to the citizens and eliminate the need of middleman in the state’s tehsils. He made an active appeal to educated youth, government officials, Panchayat members, Sarpanchs, and other public representatives to raise awareness about this crucial initiative and motivate people to utilize these digital services to weed out corruption.
Speaker Sandhwan stressed that nearly 40 lakh citizens in Punjab previously had to make multiple visits to Patwarkhanas or stand in exhausting queues at Sewa Kendras just to obtain their Fard (land record copies). This archaic process frequently exposed citizens to red tape and bribery.
“With the launch of Easy Jamabandi, there is absolutely no need to visit a Patwari office, stand in queues, or pay bribes,” Sandhwan stated. Landowners can now download a legally viable, certified copy of their Jamabandi. He informed that our government has now enableed immediate access to five essential online services:
Jamabandi via WhatsApp : Direct home delivery of verified land record copies.
Online Mutation (Intkal) : Smooth processing of property title transfers.
Rapat Entries : Quick logging of land transactions online.
Fard Badar: Seamless rectification of spelling and clerical errors in records.
Land Alert Subscription: A specialized shield for landowners and Non-Resident Indians (NRIs). If any external attempt is made to alter or tamper with a registered property record, the owner receives an automated, instant notification on WhatsApp or email to raise a prompt legal objection.
Citizens can access these revolutionary reforms via three transparent pathways:
Online Portal : Visit the official website directly at easyjamabandi.punjab.gov.in.
Tele-Helpline: Dial the state helpline number 1076 for assisted services.
Physical Support Centres : Visit any local Sewa Kendra for assisted online applications.
The Punjab Government remains deeply committed to a transparent, zero-tolerance policy against corruption, ensuring that governance reaches the doorsteps of everyday citizens with absolute ease, he added.
