Chandigarh: The Haryana Government is set to complete the Saraswati River Project soon, which is expected to be a major benefit for the state’s farmers. The government is committed to completing the project within the stipulated timeframe. In addition, construction work on the Renuka Dam is progressing swiftly, and work on the Adi Badri Dam is also expected to begin soon.
Officials of the Saraswati River Board, under the leadership of Deputy Chairman Dhuman Singh Kirmach, held a meeting at the office of Anoop Kumar Sharma, General Manager of the HPCL Dam Project Authority, to review in detail the progress of the Adi Badri Dam and Renuka Dam projects. During the meeting, officials of HPPCL agreed to initiate work on the Adi Badri Dam at the earliest. They also informed that construction of the barrage, along with the dam, would commence soon.
The Deputy Chairman stated that, under the directions of Chief Minister and Saraswati Board Chairman Sh. Nayab Singh Saini, both projects have reached the final stage of the tendering process. The government is now moving toward full implementation of these projects, which is expected to bring good news for the farmers of the state.
He further said that, due to the efforts of the Haryana Government, water availability for farmers has increased. The flow of water in the Saraswati River has brought benefits to farmers in the surrounding areas. The Saraswati River Project is part of the government’s long-term strategy, and serious efforts are being made to ensure its successful completion.
