Malkit Singh Urges Unity Amid Punjab Flood Crisis

As the crisis deepens, renowned Punjabi singer Malkit Singh has stepped forward with an emotional appeal, urging people to rise above politics and focus on relief work.

In his message, the singer described the situation in Punjab as “very critical,” stressing that many families have been left homeless and entire communities are struggling to survive. He highlighted the severe damage in Majha region, where villages are among the worst hit.

“This is not the time for politics,” Singh said. “It is the time to stand together as brothers and sisters, to comfort those who are suffering, and to serve the people in need.”

Singh, who has been residing abroad for many years, emphasized that Punjabis living outside the state remain deeply connected to their roots and are ready to extend help in every possible way. “Our hearts beat for Punjab, and we are prepared to support our land in this difficult time,” he added.

Appealing directly to political leaders, he urged them to put aside differences and personally visit flood-affected areas to support the people.

Concluding his message, Malkit Singh prayed for relief from the heavy rains and expressed hope that families can soon return to their homes and rebuild their lives. He called on Punjabis everywhere to contribute generously and join hands in providing assistance to those impacted by the floods.
