Chandigarh: Chandigarh authorities have sealed the popular SAGO Club, reportedly associated with rapper Badshah, over alleged violations of building regulations in the city.

According to sources, officials from the Estate Office carried out the action at the club located in Sector 26, sealing its main entrance after the management allegedly failed to comply with repeated notices issued by the administration.

Reports suggest the club operators had been directed to remove unauthorized constructions and restore the premises in line with the approved building plan. However, the required corrective measures were not completed within the stipulated timeframe, prompting authorities to take enforcement action.

Officials reportedly found multiple violations, including unauthorized structural modifications, covering of open areas and alterations made without approval from the concerned authorities.

The Chandigarh Administration has maintained a strict stance against violations of building norms, particularly in commercial establishments. Several clubs, bars and hospitality venues in Sectors 7 and 26 have reportedly come under scrutiny in recent months.

Authorities have reiterated that action will continue against establishments found violating approved building plans, emphasizing a zero-tolerance policy towards unauthorized construction and planning violations.

The club management has not yet issued an official statement regarding the sealing action.
