Chandigarh: The Punjab State Scheduled Castes Commission has summoned Union Minister of State for Railways Ravneet Singh Bittu over alleged remarks concerning the Scheduled Caste community.
Punjab SC Commission Chairman Jasvir Singh Garhi said the Commission has taken note of Bittu’s comments and directed him to appear in person before the Commission on June 4, 2026.
According to Garhi, a formal notice has been issued seeking an explanation from the Union Minister regarding the alleged remarks. The Commission has asked Bittu to present himself personally during the hearing.
