Heritage and City Walk to Inspire Youth; Tourism Minister to Visit Khalsa Memorial

Chandigarh: Haryana Tourism Minister Dr. Arvind Sharma will participate as the Chief Guest in the second Heritage and City Walk being organized by Haryana Tourism Corporation on May 30 at Ethnic India, Rai (Sonipat).

Organized under the campaign “Aao Chalen Apni Virasat Ke Saath”, the initiative aims to connect youth and tourists with the historical, cultural, and religious heritage of the state. Sharing information here today, a spokesperson said that the Heritage and City Walk will be organized from 6 AM to 8 AM on Saturday at seven prominent historical locations across Haryana. A special walk will be conducted from Ethnic India, Rai to Khalsa Memorial in Sonipat, where Tourism Minister Dr. Arvind Sharma will join participants and acquaint them with the historical significance of the site.

Haryana Tourism Corporation has identified seven locations for the programme, including Pinjore, Morni Hills, Kurukshetra, Surajkund, Rewari, Ballabhgarh, and Ethnic India, Rai. Heritage guides have been arranged at each location to provide participants with information about the historical importance and glorious legacy of these sites.

In Pinjore, participants will visit Yadavindra Gardens, Gurudwara Manji Sahib, Bhima Devi Temple Site Museum, Dharamandal Pinjore, and the Natural Baoli. Morni Hills will feature the historic Morni Fort, while in Kurukshetra, the walk will include Jyotisar Tirtha, Virat Swaroop, and the Mahabharata Experience Centre Museum. At Surajkund, participants will tour the historic reservoir and the Asola-Bhatti Wildlife Sanctuary.

In Rewari, the walk will be organized from Sandpiper Tourist Complex to Bada Talab, while in Ballabhgarh, participants will walk from Raja Nahar Singh Palace to Rani Ki Chhatri Haryana Tourism Corporation has fixed a participation fee of Rs. 500 per person for the programme. Participants will be provided water, tea, coffee, refreshments, and a special cap.
