Chandigarh: The Punjab and Haryana High Court has granted interim relief to former Indian cricketer and actor Yograj Singh in connection with the controversy surrounding the web series Lukkhe.

The relief came after a Chandigarh district court had earlier dismissed Yograj Singh’s anticipatory bail application.

Hearing the matter, the High Court stayed his arrest and granted him interim protection from coercive action until the next date of hearing.

The case has now been adjourned to July 9, when the High Court will further consider the plea and hear detailed arguments from both sides.

The controversy linked to the Lukkhe web series had led to legal proceedings against Yograj Singh, prompting him to seek anticipatory bail.
