New Delhi: In the latest episode of his monthly radio program ‘Mann Ki Baat,’ Prime Minister Narendra Modi voiced heartfelt sorrow over the widespread destruction caused by relentless monsoon rains across India. Highlighting the toll of floods and landslides, the Prime Minister acknowledged the profound losses suffered by families and communities.

“This monsoon season has brought severe challenges,” Modi said. “Floodwaters have submerged homes and farmlands, bridges and roads have been swept away, and countless lives have been put at risk. Such tragedies sadden every Indian. Our thoughts and prayers are with the families who have lost their loved ones.”

Turning to the rescue operations underway, Modi praised the relentless efforts of the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF), State Disaster Response Forces (SDRF), and other security agencies. He emphasized how modern technology was deployed to enhance rescue missions, including thermal cameras, sniffer dogs, drones, and live detectors.

“Wherever disaster struck, our dedicated teams worked round the clock to save lives. Helicopters airlifted the injured and delivered relief materials to inaccessible areas,” he noted. “Our armed forces played a pivotal role in this critical time.”

The Prime Minister Narendra Modi also lauded the spirit of local communities, social workers, healthcare professionals, and administrative officials who joined hands to assist those affected. “In these difficult moments, countless citizens put humanity above all else. I extend my heartfelt gratitude to every individual who contributed to relief efforts,” Modi said.

The 125th edition of ‘Mann Ki Baat’ underscored the need for collective resolve in facing natural calamities and reiterated the government’s commitment to aid recovery and rehabilitation across the affected regions.
