Haryana CM Nayab Singh Saini Reviews Rs 75 Crore+ Projects, Pushes Faster Execution Across State

Chandigarh: Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini on Tuesday chaired a high-level ‘Pragati’ review meeting at the Haryana Civil Secretariat to assess major development projects worth over Rs. 75 crore across the state and directed departments to ensure timely completion. Key healthcare projects reviewed included the Mother and Child Hospital and Service Block at Faridabad Civil Hospital, where 28 percent work has been completed with a target completion date of January 2028, a 100-bed Mother and Child Hospital at Sonipat Civil Hospital costing Rs. 138.12 crore with 20 percent work completed, and a 100-bed hospital at Assandh in Karnal being developed at Rs. 76.19 crore with 25 percent construction progress. The Chief Minister stressed that healthcare infrastructure projects must maintain the highest quality standards without compromise.

Reviewing major infrastructure initiatives, officials informed that the International Convention Centre in Sector-78, Faridabad, being developed at Rs. 378.90 crore, has achieved nearly 50 percent progress and is expected to be completed by February 2027. The Maharana Pratap Horticultural University campus in Karnal, being built at Rs. 422.54 crore, has reached 43 percent completion. The Chief Minister also reviewed approval for a new 90 KLPD multi-feed ethanol plant at Panipat Sugar Mills with an estimated cost of Rs. 200 crore, likely to be completed during FY 2027-28. Additionally, steps to modernise fire and disaster management services, including a Fire Training Centre in Jind and procurement of a 104-metre aerial ladder platform, were also discussed.

Focusing on youth employment, Nayab Singh Saini reviewed the implementation of the National Apprenticeship Promotion Scheme (NAPS) and directed officials to organise more district-level job fairs and strengthen coordination among technical education, higher education, industrial training and employment departments. He emphasised that employment schemes should deliver measurable results every month and instructed departments to improve productivity and create stronger skill-based employment opportunities for youth across Haryana.
