Pathankot Declares Local Holiday on September 1 for Baba Sri Chand Ji’s Birth Anniversary

Pathankot— A local holiday has been declared across Pathankot district on September 1 to mark the birth anniversary of Baba Sri Chand Ji. Devotees celebrate this day every year with great devotion and reverence. Thousands are expected to pay obeisance at Gurdwara Tap Asthan Baba Sri Chand, Barath Sahib, Pathankot.

Deputy Commissioner of Pathankot, Aditya Uppal, issued orders stating that all government, semi-government offices, and educational institutions (both government and private) in the district will remain closed on this day. However, the order will not apply to schools and colleges where board or university examinations, including practicals, are being conducted.
