Chandigarh: A legal complaint has been submitted against former cricketer and actor Yograj Singh over an allegedly offensive dialogue featured in the Hindi web series Lukkhe. The complaint, filed by Advocate Ujjwal Bhasin along with another legal representative, seeks immediate police action and the registration of an FIR against the actor and others associated with the production.
According to the complaint, a video clip from the recently released web series has sparked outrage on social media due to remarks allegedly degrading towards women. The complainants claimed that the dialogue used in the scene insults women’s dignity and promotes objectionable stereotypes.

The controversy centres around a viral clip in which Yograj Singh is purportedly heard making a remark suggesting that a woman’s role is limited to household duties and serving men. The advocates argued that such language is deeply offensive and unacceptable in public content distributed through mainstream entertainment platforms.
In their submission to the Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP), the complainants demanded strict legal proceedings not only against Yograj Singh but also against individuals involved in writing, directing and distributing the series. They stated that the content had hurt public sentiment and violated the dignity and rights of women.
The disputed clip has reportedly been taken from Lukkhe, a Hindi web series that premiered on Amazon Prime Video on May 8, 2026. Since circulating online, the scene has triggered widespread discussion and criticism across social media platforms.
As of now, Yograj Singh has not issued any public statement or clarification regarding the allegations or the complaint filed against him.
