New Delhi: Internet users across several countries, including India, reported difficulties accessing Google services on Tuesday after the tech giant’s search engine experienced a temporary disruption.
Thousands of users complained of error messages and loading failures while trying to use Google Search, prompting concerns over a possible global outage affecting one of the world’s most widely used online platforms.
According to outage-tracking website Downdetector, hundreds of complaints were logged within a short period as users reported problems with search results, website access, and server connectivity.
Many affected users turned to social media platforms to share screenshots of “server error” notifications and slow response times. Some reported that Google pages failed to load completely, while others said searches were returning blank or incomplete results.
The disruption appeared to impact users in multiple regions simultaneously, raising speculation about a broader technical issue within Google’s network infrastructure. However, the company had not immediately released an official statement detailing the cause of the outage at the time the reports surfaced.
Google, owned by Alphabet Inc., handles billions of search queries every day and remains the most visited website globally. Even brief interruptions in service often trigger widespread reactions due to the platform’s central role in internet activity, communication, and business operations.
While some users later reported partial restoration of services, intermittent issues continued for others during the disruption period.
