New Delhi: The suspense surrounding the CBSE Class 12 board examination results may soon come to an end, with indications pointing towards an imminent declaration by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE). Students across the country are closely monitoring official portals as anticipation continues to grow over the release of the 2026 results.
Although the board has not yet issued a formal confirmation regarding the exact date and timing, education circles and evaluation officials suggest that the Class 12 results are likely to be announced during the third week of May. Sources familiar with the process said the board is currently completing the final phase of result compilation and verification.
Fueling speculation further, DigiLocker has reportedly activated a “Results Coming Soon” notification for CBSE candidates, a move often seen shortly before the publication of board results.
Once released, students will be able to access their marks online through the official CBSE result websites, DigiLocker, and the UMANG application. The provisional digital marksheets can be downloaded and used for college admissions, counselling procedures, and document verification until original certificates are distributed by schools.
This year’s result preparation process attracted attention after reports emerged regarding discrepancies in certain answer sheets, leading to re-evaluation in a limited number of cases. However, officials associated with the process stated that the overall schedule remains unaffected and that additional scrutiny has been carried out to ensure accuracy in the final scorecards.
Students are advised to keep their roll numbers, school numbers, and admit card details ready to avoid delays while checking results online after the announcement.
Apart from the individual scorecards, attention is also expected to focus on the overall pass percentage, regional performance trends, subject-wise analysis, and the list of top-performing students once the results are officially declared.
With anxiety and excitement running high among lakhs of candidates and parents, the upcoming announcement is set to mark a crucial moment for students preparing for university admissions and future academic plans.
