Preity Zinta Offers Prayers at Golden Temple, Seeks Blessings for Punjab Kings Ahead of Crucial Clash

Amritsar: Bollywood actor and Punjab Kings co-owner Preity Zinta visited the revered Golden Temple on Saturday evening, where she offered prayers and participated in seva as her IPL franchise prepares for an important upcoming fixture.

Dressed simply and accompanied by a small team, the actor bowed before the holy shrine and prayed for peace, prosperity and the well-being of all. Her presence drew attention from devotees and visitors, many of whom gathered to greet her and click photographs.

Following her prayers, Preity joined volunteers in the langar hall, where she served food to devotees as part of the traditional selfless service associated with the Sikh faith. Her gesture was warmly appreciated by those present at the shrine.

Speaking briefly to the media, she said her visit was inspired by spiritual devotion and described it as a response to “Waheguru Ji’s call.” She added that she had especially come to seek blessings for Punjab Kings ahead of the team’s significant match scheduled for May 11.

Expressing confidence in the squad’s form, she said the players are motivated and determined to perform strongly in the remaining fixtures. She also thanked fans across Punjab for their unwavering support throughout the season.

Preity made a special mention of captain Shreyas Iyer, noting that the affectionate nickname “Sarpanch” given to him by supporters reflects the bond the team shares with cricket lovers in the state.

She said the encouragement from Punjab’s youth and cricket enthusiasts continues to inspire the players and remains one of the team’s biggest strengths as they push forward in the tournament.
