Mirzapur: In the aftermath of a devastating road accident in Mirzapur, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has announced monetary assistance for the families of those who lost their lives and for the injured.
The accident, which occurred near the Dramandganj Valley area, claimed the lives of 11 people and left several others injured. Expressing deep sorrow over the incident, the Prime Minister conveyed his condolences to the bereaved families and wished a speedy recovery to those undergoing treatment.
As part of the relief measures, an ex gratia amount of ₹2 lakh will be provided to the next of kin of each deceased from the Prime Minister’s National Relief Fund (PMNRF). Additionally, individuals injured in the mishap will receive financial assistance of ₹50,000 each.
Officials stated that local authorities responded promptly to the incident, launching rescue operations and ensuring that the injured were rushed to nearby medical facilities. The administration is continuing efforts to support affected families and investigate the circumstances that led to the accident.
The tragic incident has once again highlighted concerns over road safety in hilly and high-risk zones, prompting calls for stricter monitoring and preventive measures to avoid such loss of life in the future.
