CHANDIGARH, April 21, 2026: Continuing his global outreach to attract investment and strengthen international partnerships, Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann undertook a series of high-level engagements in the Netherlands aimed at boosting economic cooperation and enhancing people-to-people connections.

The visit forms part of Punjab’s broader strategy to position itself as a preferred global investment destination while building long-term collaborations with international partners.

Boost to Punjab–Netherlands Business Ties

During a key interaction with the Netherlands India Chamber of Commerce & Trade, led by Chairperson Edith Nordmann, the Chief Minister emphasized the importance of strengthening bilateral business linkages and increasing investment flows between Punjab and the Netherlands.

Bhagwant Mann highlighted Punjab’s strategic focus on value addition, export-led growth, and integration with global supply chains. He specifically pointed to sectors such as food processing and manufacturing as key areas with strong potential for collaboration.

He invited the NICCT to play an active role in connecting Punjab with Dutch enterprises and facilitating sector-specific partnerships, business delegations, and investment opportunities.

Investment Roadshow in The Hague Attracts Industry Leaders

At an investment roadshow held in The Hague, the Chief Minister showcased Punjab’s industrial strengths and emerging business opportunities. The event saw participation from prominent industry leaders, business representatives, and stakeholders from across the Netherlands.

Bhagwant Mann underlined Punjab’s transformation towards value-added manufacturing, industrial growth, and export-oriented development. He highlighted the state’s strong fundamentals, including a robust manufacturing ecosystem, skilled workforce, progressive policies, and an investor-friendly governance framework.

He also emphasized the role of the Industrial and Business Development Policy (IBDP) 2026, describing it as one of the most competitive policy frameworks in India, designed to attract both domestic and international investments.

Ease of Doing Business and Investor-Friendly Reforms

The Chief Minister reiterated the Punjab Government’s commitment to ease of doing business and transparent governance. He spoke about the Fast Track Punjab Portal, which provides single-window clearances and ensures time-bound approvals for investors.

Highlighting Punjab’s advantages, Bhagwant Mann pointed to quality infrastructure, progressive farmers, and a workforce aligned with global standards as key strengths that make the state an attractive investment destination.

He invited global investors to “come, invest and grow in Punjab,” assuring them of full government support and seamless facilitation for setting up and expanding businesses in the state.

Cultural Connect and Diaspora Engagement

In addition to business engagements, the Chief Minister also interacted with members of the Punjabi diaspora in the Netherlands during a community outreach programme.

He acknowledged the contributions of the Indian and Punjabi community in strengthening cultural and economic ties between the two regions. Bhagwant Mann said that the diaspora plays a crucial role in promoting Punjab globally and fostering international collaboration.

During the interaction, he also sought suggestions from community members and reaffirmed the government’s commitment to involving them as key partners in Punjab’s growth journey.

Strengthening Global Partnerships for Future Growth

He emphasized that such global engagements will help Punjab build long-term partnerships, facilitate knowledge exchange, and attract technology-driven investments.

Bhagwant Mann said the visit is expected to significantly boost economic cooperation and further position Punjab as a progressive, innovation-driven, and globally competitive state.
